The STRIVE research consortium involves six partner organizations with a history of successful collaboration. Most are located in areas of Asia and Africa with high HIV-incidence rates and all produce high quality, policy-relevant HIV research.

STRIVE partners share a focus on complex interventions, tackling combinations of the structural forces that drive HIV transmission and undermine prevention efforts. Through the consortium, members aim to

  • understand how structural forces work, especially in combination,
  • establish which interventions work and how,
  • design and use innovative methodologies to model, cost and evaluate complex interventions,
  • use evidence to influence global and national policies, budgets and programmes.
