STRIVE and Centre for Evaluation joint seminar: Berk Ozler on cash transfers and HIV

STRIVE and the LSHTM Centre for Evaluation will join together this week to host a research seminar by Berk Ozler, Associate Professor of Economics, University of Otago.

The seminar, entitled Schooling, income, and HIV risk: Some insights from cash transfer experiments, will take place on Thursday 17 October, 12:45-2:00pm at LSHTM. Click here for more details.

STRIVE is collaborating with the Centre for Evaluation on building bridges between epidemiological and economic approaches to evaluating impact.

Dr Berk Ozler is a development economist with a broad range of interests in poverty, inequality, education, and health. He is currently co-principal investigator for two randomized controlled trials in Malawi and Tanzania. He worked as a senior economist in the Development Research Group at the World Bank before joining the University of Otago as an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics in April 2013. He is also co-founder and regular contributor to the Development Impact blog.
