STRIVE partners will meet this month to plan collaborative research on alcohol as a driver of HIV.

Researchers from ICRWICRW-ARO, NIMR and LSHTM are meeting in London on 16 and 17 August to find synergies and develop collective areas of expertise.

STRIVE seeks to consolidate and build on the variety of work by its partners. Led by Katherine Fritz, the meeting will focus on structural approaches to reducing harmful alcohol use, especially among young people. It will address issues such as the role of advertising, product packaging and promotion in encouraging drinking.
