STRIVE partner ICRW-ARO has worked with a range of implementation partners to adapt and pilot a global HIV stigma reduction framework in India.

ICRW-ARO are pleased to announce that their community-based implementation partners, St Xavier’s College and Swasti Health Resource Centre, will be presenting research on the stigma reduction framework at ICAAP in Thailand,18 - 22 November 2013.

ICRW worked with St Xavier's College to test the framework in the education sector, targeting young people and their attitudes towards people living with HIV (PLHIV). The collaboration with Swasti Health Resource Centre was designed to test the intervention in local government settings.

ICRW-ARO’s Madhumita Das will also be presenting research on mandatory HIV testing and its impact on the life of female sex workers in India.
