On 20 June 2016, STRIVE will co-host a one-day meeting of UK-based social scientists working on HIV, under the umbrella of the Association of Social Sciences and Humanities in HIV (ASSHH UK). The Abstract submission date has been extended!

After successful ASSHH conferences in Durban (2011), Paris (2013) and Stellenbosch (2015), a small group of UK ASSHH members have formed ASSHH UK. This UK-based network, linked to and working with ASSHH, aims to continue discussions about HIV research in the humanities and social sciences. While comprised of researchers based in and around the UK, we hope our discussions will extend to issues and people beyond UK borders. We hope to facilitate dialogue virtually and in person.

We are planning a one-day conference/workshop/networking event to continue these discussions. This will take place on Monday, 20 June 2016 at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). Abstracts and proposals of 250-300 words, along with a short biography of presenters, should be sent to: asshh [dot] uk [at] gmail [dot] com by 19 April 2016. The day will include discussion and networking sessions, so we hope that you will come regardless of whether you are formally presenting or not!

There will be no charge for attending, and we will provide tea/coffee and lunch, and possibly some funding for those travelling from outside London (tbc). We hope you will join us.
